One of Spain’s leading newspapers is talking about our participation in the development of the Smart Socks software. It is an honor for us to have our work highlighted and to reach as many people as possible. The goal of this project is to help people.
La Vanguardia explains in its article:
“To address this issue, Milbotix, a British scientific laboratory, decided to develop socks that could predict these behavioral changes. The company selected Unimedia Technology, a Spanish company based in Castelldefels, to develop them.
The collaboration led to the creation of Smart Socks, which incorporate sensors capable of measuring heart rate, sweat, temperature, and movement. By analyzing these parameters, they monitor the stress levels of the wearer, allowing them to predict episodes of anxiety or aggression. They can track these factors in real-time, which is crucial for alerting caregivers or family members before a crisis occurs.”
